Inventory of unsold homes in Rancho Cucamonga continues steady decline

home inv May 2008Charting the inventory of unsold homes in Rancho Cucamonga is updated here from ILa’s new blog.  In case you bookmarked her blog, note the change here.  The latest listings from Rancho and the surrounding communities are posted here.  Maybe this is good news, where the inventory number will have to go to indicate a bottom in the market remains to be seen.  Zillow.com reports an estimated 30 day decline of home prices in Rancho Cucamonga of 5%. 

Will the steady decline dry up supply and cause a bump up once credit worthy buyers return to the market? That seems to be the cycle.

Eighteen previously-owned homes closed escrow in Rancho Cucamonga during the week ending May 10, 2008, and 22 Rancho Cucamonga homes reportedly entered escrow during the week, according to the Inland Multi-Regional Multiple Listing Service, which shows listings and sales of previously-owned homes reported by its members.

The MLS said 56 new Rancho Cucamonga listings were added during the week, for a total inventory of 902 previously-owned homes listed in Rancho Cucamonga on May 11, including 625 single-family homes with no monthly fees and 277 condominiums, town homes and single-family homes in associations.

As of May 11, the MLS reported, 92 Rancho Cucamonga single-family homes or condominiums were available for leasing. Of those, the median monthly rental price was $2,000.
