Red Hill Traffic still a problem
Red Hill Traffic still a problem
Some residents of the Red Hill community are still complaining that there is so called cut through traffic on the public streets in their community. The implication that the traffic is cut through is these streets are reserved for the Red Hill residents use. These streets are public thoroughfares maintained for the benefit of all the citizens of Rancho Cucamonga.
The streets on the hill are narrow without sidewalks for pedestrians. This condition is not unique to Red Hill. Many of the North Western sections of the city are without sidewalks. Why should Rancho residents be denied the use of these streets in a lawful manner to avoid traffic on another route. The option for a gated community was considered and rejected by the residents of Red Hill.
It seems to me that just like many communities, they would like the benefits of an exclusive community with someone else paying the bill.
