Demanding schedules are often the norm for large scale graphic projects.  San Bernardino County with more than 20 of its departments staged a resource fair at Victoria Gardens.  The one day event took place on the main street and throughout the Gardens leading up the cultural center.

A Variety of materials and formats were required, from direct printed Sintra, Mesh backdrops and sunshades, to double face vinyl on pole banners. All the completed prints were delivered just in time for the county installers to assemble the event structures the evening preceding the weekday event.

Close coordination between Hector Rosado the B3DigiGrafx Account Executive responsible for the project and the San Bernardino county representatives made for a successful installation.  All the materials and prints were done in-house taking advantage of the extensive capabilities of B3DigiGrafx.

B3Digigrafx moved its operation from Riverside, California in the fall of 2009.  The new management team for the RC Quakes also arrived in town in late 2009.  The Brett management expressed an interest in working with a local company for their large format print requirements.  B3DigiGrafx arrived just in time to fill the bill.   We were determined to treat the Quakes project as a “home game” we were determined to win.  The management team has moved from Washington State to take up redolence in Rancho Cucamonga, apparently bringing their hometown climate with them.  It has rained almost every week since their arrival.  We certainly needed the rain but this much must have left questions for the newcomers that we were in the sunshine state.

Stadium graphics require a variety of large print formats, from ridged metal signage, adhesive vinyl wall wraps, and vinyl banner prints, to large acrylic backlit sign panels.  Installation is also provided by our in-house staff.  A wide array of print equipment will be employed to meet all these needs including B3’s flat bed Tempo Q printer.

Mesh banner material has three important features. Mesh is light weight compared to filled materials of the same tinsel strength.  Mesh banners present significantly lower wind resistance in outdoor applications. The irregular surface reduces glare form light sources, especially hot spots from flash photography when used as backdrops. These features make it an ideal print material for a number of applications.

B3Digigrafx prints at 360 DPI on Heavy duty 10 oz. vinyl mesh to ensure deep vibrant colors that stand up for years to extended exterior or interior use.

Mesh banners can be made in extremely large sizes and are therefore suitable as:

Mesh banner material is used in this example as a construction fence barrier.  This clever design messages the project is a new library building. Addition of the printed graphics on construction barriers not only makes the site safe, but a lot more attractive to the public.

Mesh banner material is ideal when considering wind loads. Their light weight and lower wind resistance make them perfectly suited for large building wraps and scaffolding covers. Light transmission is still considerable making window covering permissible.

1000 square feet of banner in a 70 mile wind loads at 16,037.51 pounds. This is the wind load requirement in the southern California.

The New York Times reports that Hyundai Gets Jump on Cash for Clunkers and is driving 10 percent of its new car sales. The program offers credits up to $4,500 for trading in a qualifying car for a brand new one. The program only runs for four months so promoters of the program will realize the largest sales increase.

Marketing Coordinator for The Victoria Gardens Cultural Center and Lewis Family Playhouse, Annette Mumolo brings her promotion experience from Fox Studios to the effort at the Playhouse. Vehicle Graphics proved to be an effective means to promote events in her experience. With a limited budget her novel approach of recruiting employee volunteers for application of rear window graphics proved a sure bet.

Installation of a rear window graphics is observed by volunteer Daniel Schneider, Special Events Supervisor with the City of Rancho Cucamonga. The perforated window film provides good vision from inside the vehicle, while presenting a vivid image from the outside.

Complete car wraps may seem a daunting expense to those not aware of their performance compared to more conventional exposure in newspapers and periodicals.

University of California Riverside applied graphics to promote their Van Pool. In this case the graphics were designed to bleed into the white color of the vans making the partial wrap work well, while saving substantially over complete wraps.

These applications demonstrate that big impacts can still be made on limited budgets. The vans were all completed at the B3DigiGrafics facility in Riverside.

Victoria Gardens Cultural Center takes advantage of heavy traffic at the Victoria Gardens by leading patrons to their box office with sidewalk graphics. Theme related Lily pads printed on 3M side walk graphics make a trail from the Victoria Gardens shopping center to the box office area of the Lewis Family Playhouse.

Outdoor graphics have proven to be an extraordinary value in high traffic arenas. The same exposure can cost many times more in other advertising media.
